Our Myanmar Photo Tour (formerly known as Burma) is another of our star destinations for 2020. Myanmar is an exciting country from a cultural, social and humanistic point of view, and a dream for many photographers all around the world. Now, we give you the opportunity to go for yourself and photograph this wonderful country.
During this extraordinary 14-day long Myanmar photo tour, we will photograph magical places such as Bagan, with more than 2,000 temples, fantastic cities like Yangon and Mandalay, or the spectacular Inle Lake with its magnificent surroundings and impressive network of villages, channels and markets. In addition, from all of our trips, this is one with a greater social component. In each of our destinations in Myanmar, we will be able to photograph local people in their daily routines. From craftsmen at their jobs and to monks praying in the surroundings temples, without a doubt, we will have plenty of opportunities to capture incredible portraits. We’ll also pay special attention to sunrises and sunsets as we will be photographing some of the most spectacular temples in Bagan where there are more than 2,000 Buddhist monuments as far as the eye can see.

Arrival to Mandalay. Today we will meet the group and being our tour of this fascinating country.
Depending on time, we will try to shoot our first sunset by the world famous U Bein Bridge.
Night in Mandalay.
We will be photographing some markets in the city to capture locals and their daily routines. We’ll then continue the morning exploring various areas around the city to capture the true essence of what makes Mandalay such a unique place.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Golden Palace Monastery and the Mahamuni Pagoda for our sunset session.
Night in Mandalay.
Today we will photograph some beautiful puppet shops.
Later, we will visit some villages, Sagaing, Innwa y Amarapura, with wonderful opportunities for photography.
Then, we’ll head back to Mandalay to visit the Mingun Stupa, and will be capturing the sunset by Mya Thein Tan Pagoda.
Night in Mandalay.
Today, we will wake up early to travel to Inle Lake, about a 6 or 7 hours drive.
We will arrive there by the afternoon, and will spend the rest of the day exploring and capturing the wonderful channels by the area around the lake.
For sunset, we will be photographing from the shorelines of Inle Lake.
Today we will wake up early to photograph the intha fishers by Inle Lake at sunrise. We will have to contract a boat excursion to see them.
Then (or the following day), we will visit the Five Days market, to photograph the local sellers and their routines, a wonderful spectacle that will amaze us and bring us countless chances to capture precious scenes.
After lunch, we’ll head to photograph Indein and the Stupas path.
For sunset, we will capture again some intha fishers at work.
We’ll wake up early again to visit Kukka and capture the pagodas in the area.
After that, we’ll go to Ywama, to photograph the local markets and souvenir shops, as well as the people living and working here.
In the afternoon, we will photogrpah Phaung Daw Oo Paya, the precious sanctuary, as well as the market located next to it.
For sunset, we will visit the lake shore and will get spectacular images from there.
We will leave early in the morning to Bagan, after doing our last sunrise shooting in the area.
During our way, we may stop in several places when we find photo opportunities, as well as in cities as Meiktila.
In the afternoon, we’ll reach Mount Popa and will visit this wonderful area. For sunset, we will try to capture the mount view from the distance, from one of the roads around it.
Later, we will continue to Bagan to register in our hotel.
We will wake up early for a wonderful sunrise view from Shwesandaw Pagoda, to capture incredible scenes with the first lights of the day.
Later, we will visit Dhammayan Gyi Pagoda, which is the largest in the area. Again, here we will also get wonderful photo opportunities.
We’ll have launch in the area (picnic or similar, not included) and will continue photographing many different pagodas. At the same time, we’ll capture the locals and the monks at the souvenir and food shops.
We’ll stay by there till the rest of the afternoon, and will head to Thatbinnyu Pagoda for sunset shooting.
Today, we’ll wake up early to capture sunrise from Sulaimani Pagoda, as well as the are around it..
Later, we will reach Shwezigon Pagoda, to capture this amazing building and its surroundings, where we will get fantastic images
After lunch we will visit BuPhaya Stupa and the temples in the area.
For sunset, we will go back to Shwesandaw Pagoda, to photograph the incredible views of the area we can get from there, under different light conditions.
We may also do a night photography session in the area, if conditions are interesting.
We will head again to Shwesandaw Pagoda, to photograph the area from different angles. From there, we may be ablto photograph the typical hot air balloons over this zone.
Clients can optionally contract a hot air balloon ride.
After this, we will visit Manuha Temple to photograph the reclined Buddha.
During the rest of the day, we will have free time to rest or go shopping. Later, we will photograph the wonderful golden cupule at Dhammayazika Pagoda, and stay there till sunset, capturing the impressive scenery around Bagan.
Today, we’ll wake up early to drive to Yangon, a route that will take most of the day. We will capture sunrise from Bagan or from the route.
During our drive, we may do some photo stops, for example to capture again the silhouette of Mount Popa, or in Nayipido.
Once we get Yangon, we’ll go to do the check in at our hotel, and if we still have time enough, will go to Kandawgyi Lake to photograph sunset by the shore.
We will capture sunrise from Shwedagon Pagoda, and then will have a walk by the city, practicing portraits, social and street photography.
After lunch, we’ll have some free time for shopping or rest at the hotel.
Then, we’ll go back to Shwedagon Pagoda for sunset shooting, and will stay in the area for blue hour and some night photography.
We’ll visit Chinatown in the morning, a place where we’ll have many photo opportunities.
After this, will head to the Bagyoke Aung San market, and will capture the daily scenes and routines of the sellers and the locals.
In the afternoon, we will be visiting Sule Pagoda, located in the center of a roundabout,, by an urban surrounding. We can photograph this impressive view from top of the Sakura Tower (optionally), or from the streets around the pagoda.
Drive to the airport and end of the trip. Flight back home.

‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ carefully plans each one of the routes that it is offering, adapting always to the travelers’ needs. However, due to each country particularities and conditions, it is possible that the routes could vary, changing the itineraries and the places to visit.
In this sense, it will be up to the photographer/s guide/s the decision of changing any of the programmed activities and shooting sessions for each day, depending on factors as weather or light conditions, or by their consideration or thoughts, being the tour hosts, always in search of the best possible experiences and moments of light for the customers of this trip.
The program may also be changed in case of emergency, injury, illness, or robbery of any of the participants or main photographers, among other causes.
t the same time, both the photographers and ‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ reserves the right of changing the photographer/s guide/s in case of strong reason, such as first grade relatives or own illness or hospitalization, severe health problems, accidents, etc. In those cases, the agency will bring another photographer able to guide the group in the same destination.
The traveler is responsible of having all the documentation for the trip. To visit Myanmar, citizens from Spain need their Passport, with an expiration date longer than 6 months after the trip.
Spanish travelers (as well as travelers from many other countries) also need a visa, which can be obtained via (not included):

Travelers from other countries would need a valid Passport and may need a visa. Always check the requirements with your country authorities before traveling to a foreign country. The photographers and ‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ have no responsibility about each traveler’s documentation or the requirements to be allowed to enter in Myanmar or any other country.
Neither the travel company ‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ nor the photographers hosting the trip have any responsibility about the travelers documentation or about their allowance or refusal entering the visited country.
This Myanmar Photo Tour includes basic assistance insurance. Those travelers who wish to, can get an advanced insurance for an additional cost. In this case, ‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ will inform and help the client to choose insurance with conditions and coverings adapted to the client and the travel purchased.
‘ADream Photo Expeditions’ will give personal counseling and advice to travelers when purchasing their trip. Clients will be given a list with all that they need for the route, tips about how to prepare a medical kit for the travel, recommendations about the photography gear for the place and kind of photography, etc. Our staff will be delighted to solve any doubt that the clients could have when preparing the trip.
We are completely sure that this Myanmar Photo Tour will be an unforgettable experience for travelers, as well as an intensive photography experience. ‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ considers it its responsibility, as the travel agent, to promote values such as respect (cultural, social and environmental). At the same time, ‘Dream Photo Expeditions’ will always ensure that the impact of their trips is never negative for the country, their citizens or their wildlife.
The client declares that he or she accepts all the conditions on this trip at the time he or she makes a reservation payment for it.
At the moment of the purchase confirmation, the client will have to pay an initial payment of €600 (around $677 as of July the 26th, 2019). The rest of the payment will be effective at maximum 20 days prior to the trip. The agency can resolve the contract and apply the established withdrawal rules before the departure if the client doesn’t make effective any of the expected payments in the deadline, as the terms previously seen. The features that make up the combined travel contract come from the information given to the client in the brochure or program, as well as from the indications regarding this information that could have been given when confirming the reservation.
In case the agency doesn’t complete the minimum needed group to confirm the trip, the client will recover the 100% of the initial payment.
However if the client doesn’t show or cancels the trip, the following cancellation policies will be applied:
– Until 30 days prior to the trip: €600
– 30 days prior to the trip: 100% of the trip cost (no refund at all).
Prices are based in the Exchange rates by August the 29th, 2017. The currency may be updated until 21 days prior to the departure, according to Spanish Travel Laws, applying a supplement/discount in case of change.
Once the reservation is done by the client, and the services and their prices are confirmed by the agency, these prices only could be revised until 20 calendar days prior to the departure dates, only in case there are variations in the transportation costs (including the fuel prices), in accommodations, in rates and taxes referring to certain services (such as landing, boarding in ports and airports), or in monetary exchange rates applied to the trip.
